Catrina is a trained specialist lead Trainer with Positive regard
Neurodiversity is a social construct which refers to the diversity of neurology in humanity.
Everyone is neurodiverse. We all have different minds and brains. Most people are neurotypical. Their minds and brains develop in a statisically typical way. Some of us are neurodivergent. Our brains and minds develop differently. We call this a difference not a deficit.
Neurodiversity training for teachers will help you to spot signs of neurodivergent conditions such as autism, adhd, dyspraxia, dyslexia, dyscalculia, developmental delay and learn to support them in your classroom.
The ASK project
In 2023/ 24 Neuroteachers will be running the second year of the ASK project (autism and social communication knowledge project). This involves offering free autism and social communication training to early years providers in North Somerset. Catrina is the lead trainer for the North Somerset autism education trust (AET) early years hub. She works with her team of four autistic trainers to deliver this free training which is paid for by a grant from Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire National Health Service.(BNSSG NHS).
